Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Briefly account and everything in it. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

From the app

1. Open Briefly and go to the Profile tab.
2. Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
3. Confirm twice. Your account is erased straight away.

From the web

1. Sign in to Briefly on the web.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Choose Delete account and confirm.

By email

If you cannot access your account, email privacy@sayitbriefly.com from the address on the account. We will verify and delete it within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account and login credentials
• Your profile, including display name, avatar and bio
• Every snippet, transcript and AI summary
• Every journal entry, tag and collection
• Audio you uploaded
• Push notification tokens and playback progress

Backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle. We keep a minimal transaction record only where tax or accounting law requires it.

Your subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings first, or you will keep being charged. Subscriptions bought on the web are cancelled automatically when the account is deleted.
